Friends

I'm linking up with The Gypsy Mama today.  It is Five Minute Friday where we write for a flat five minutes and not one more.  No editing, no massaging, no over thinking.

Bear with me - I've never done this before.  It may be rough.

 Five minutes on 'friends'.  Ready?  Go!

When I think of friends, one particular face comes to mind.  She is one of the loveliest people I've ever known and her heart for Jesus leaves me in awe every time we meet.

We have been friends since our oldests were in third grade together - I guess that makes it five years now.

Together we have laughed until we've nearly cried, lamented over the woes of child rearing, and prayed over each other's marriages.  And yes, it's all been at the Starbuck's just around the corner.

We live lives that are so incredibly similar and yet vastly different.

We have been separated by oceans but bound together by the Master Weaver.  The tearing of the veil loosed the threads that would keep us forever sisters.

We have the kind of friendship that will last.  She knows my 'ugly' and I know her 'ugly' and I love her all the more for it!

 STOP!!!

 Wow, that was harder than I thought it would be! :0)  Join me at Lisa-Jo's, won't you?

Blessings,
{K}

    I love this! I can relate so well and appreciate the deep friendships I have ...those that are nearby and those on the other side of the world!

  3. Oh, this is beautiful! You are a wonderful writer, and you've so articulated what God-ordained friendship really means. And your blog ... it's beautiful, too!

  4. Awesome job! Welcome to the group. It is SO hard to be separated by oceans, but you know it is a good friend when the friendship still is there.
