Happy Birthday, Sweet Man of Mine!

Well.

Forty four.  {44}

Has it hit you yet that we have celebrated nearly half of our birthdays together???  Crazy isn't it?

I have just a few things I want to tell you on this day we celebrate you.

1. I swear, you get better looking with every passing year.
No kidding - you are insanely handsome!!

2. Your endurance and stamina astound me.
You work nearly around the clock and seldom complain.
Thank you for all you do for all of us!

3. I love waking up next to you every morning.
There is no one else I would rather do this crazy life with.
No one.  Not ever.

4. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for loving our kids so well.
You know there is no greater way to love on me, than to love on our kids.
You are a generous, affectionate, loving dad - the kind every kid dreams of.
We are blessed.

5. The past two years of getting our business off the ground has been a challenge.  It has stretched us and tested us in ways we never dreamed of.
You have kept your cool when I know you've wanted to blow your top.
You have juggled more at any given time than either one of us thought you possibly could.
You have lived out determination
and perseverance
and courage.
It has not gone unnoticed.

The other day we were talking about the legacies we will leave.  We were lamenting that an inheritance might not be one of them. :0)  We were questioning our choices and searching for God and His role in all of this.  You said you hadn't heard from Him in so long and wondered why He has been so silent.  Regardless, you were going to just keep 'plowing through'.  And it occurred to me...  that will be your legacy.  One of intense faith.  Of living out Hebrews 11:1.  "Faith is being sure of what you hope for and certain of what you do not see." {NIV} That believing God is good and alive and present, even if everything is not going as we had planned or hoped.  Or when He is silent.  Your legacy will be one  of carrying on, pushing through, and holding on to the hope that God will do what He said He would do, and one of living out your convictions.

That will outlast any inheritance or worldly gift you could ever pass on.

Your life is a testament to a watching world.  Happiest birthday to the most amazing man I know.

I'm so blessed to wear your ring.

XOXO,

Beezy
